Giving love is as important as receiving it.
Though teen parents face many obstacles and struggles, the Way to Grow Teen Parenting Program helps educate and prepare them for a successful life. This program includes home visits twice a month, academic support and career development. We also complete monthly group sessions covering teen related components such as education, empowerment, job skills, parenting etc. Our aim is to help teen parents gain parenting skills and greater confidence by setting and achieving new goals for themselves and their families.
By reducing the number of additional pregnancies, and motivating teen parents to complete their education, we’re helping them break the cycle of poverty by increasing their chances of obtaining a livable income.

In 2010, 99% of Way to Grow newborns will be born at normal birth weight or above vs. 92.4% of all other children in Minneapolis.
